E30 wagon for >$3k, because duh.

I know, it’s a great deal.... but it’s a BMW... prone to break down. Still, what an amazing price!

But the other choices are a 51 year old Ford, a rotary Mazda, a BMW, a BMW, an Audi and a BMW... The E30 is probably tied for reliability with the Ford, but has a lot more creature comforts, waaaaaaay better handling, is a wagon, and costs way less.

I shall have you know that my BMW has never left me stranded. Rather, owning a BMW is like death by 1,000 cuts.

E30 touring all day. Easiest decision I’ve ever made.

Same. It’s just so nice!

For me, wagon = $500-$1000 dollars extra. Because wagon.

More like 1,000 cuts with a cocaine-laced knife, because you will at least have fun driving the thing.

I love BMW, but my mom has a 66 Mustang in the same color so had to go with that one

Interesting and unique route, apparently. That BMWagon is leading by more than 25% of the votes. All of the voes combined can fit in the BMW’s votes.

Where is there an E30 touring for $3k? I’d buy that right now.

You can’t buy it. Because it’s gonna be mine. Also, it’s located in Germany.

Yeah i figured most would go that route. Thing is, the 635 would have been my second choice.

I just want to note that Oppo contributor Klaus Schmoll lives right next to that E30 Touring. As in, within fifteen minutes.

I feel like most people would change their votes when they realize the car is still across the pond. Considering the E30 wagon wasn’t sold in the US. And if it was state side the price would double at least.

I think it needs to be noted that the E30 wagon is still in the mother land. So the cost/effort to ship it here can be factored into the decision.

But still

Still.... $5000?

I’ll tell him to get the fuck out of bed and BUY THAT BEAMER

I actually saw the same year of 635csi today, in better-than-mint-condition, and they are majestic. It was right next to a pretty good R8 replica. Too bad I didn’t have my camera, that R8 replica was spot on, except for the tailpipe & badging, you would never realize it’s not an R8.

Really wished someone would do a modern 5x120 version of those bottlecaps on the 320i.

I didn’t know there was a replica R8. Interesting.
The 635 doesn’t get the big recognition of some of the more popular old BMW’s, but it is still a very nice car imo.

Oh yeah. I even saw an 80's M6 the other day. Blew my mind.

Hahaha only in jalop/oppo land could these cars ever be cross shopped together.

What?

This is certainly a reasonable collection of cars that I would be looking at too. I’m just saying out in the real world, it always seems that people are more likely to be shopping similar cars rather than just anything that would be fun/cool within budget. So I find it funny that only here would these be the options.

It would still be well below $10k.
